Edited by Wolf 189, these collaborative books include the work of 29 photographers (Brooks Ayola, Ralph Barker, Kincaid Blackwood, Mariah Carle, Matthew Cherry, Sita Mae Edwards, Stephen Haynes, April-lea Hutchinson, Nicole Jaja, Robert Patrick James, Leo Lam, Dave Levingston, Clay LIpsky, Frank Love, Brooke Lynne, Darryl Martin, Stephen Melvin, Ken Mierzwa, D. Brian Nelson, Trish Noble, Keith Allen Phillips, Collin J. Rae, Sarah Robertson, Dave Rudin, Ward Shortridge, Susan Michele Smith, Kim Melia von Seidl, roman T., and Wolf 189). The subject matter is diverse; I've contributed images to all three volumes, including documentary portraits from the post-punk and gothic countercultures; portraits of competitive athletes; street photography; and artistic nudes.
Volume 4 is expected in early 2011, with Leo Lam as editor; see f-elevenbooks.com or the f-eleven blog for updates.
Ephemeral Creation, my 1978-1983 post-punk memoirs originally published in 2003, has been updated with additional text and new photos. Follow the link to download a pdf e-book version (464 KB).
This third edition was, in a modern version of the punk tradition, created largely with freeware (Google Docs). While this somewhat limits format options, it allows me to make the book available here without charge. Spreading the word to others is encouraged, but please respect my copyright and attribute or cite any quotes or references. Resale or use to promote any for-profit activity is not allowed without written permission.
